After Democrats swept the November 3, 2026 midterms, Republicans began arguing over why they lost. Some, including JD Vance and Donald Trump Jr., point to the war with Iran and the leadership of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Others, including Ted Cruz, say the party ignored voters’ cost-of-living concerns. Readers place each article by which explanation it emphasizes.
